True — Wealth Insight ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Our Core Privacy Principle: Your financial data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal financial information to any external servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we don't do:

All financial information you enter into True — Wealth Insight is stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage mechanisms:
- iOS: Secure iOS file system and encrypted storage
- Android: Secure Android file system and encrypted storage
This includes:
- Wealth items (assets, liabilities, income)
- Historical snapshots and values
- Tax calculations and projections
- App settings and preferences
Data Backup
Your data is not automatically backed up to our servers. If you use device-level backup services:
- iOS: Data may be included in iCloud backups if enabled on your device
- Android: Data may be included in Google Drive backups if enabled on your device
These backups are controlled by Apple and Google respectively, subject to their own privacy policies.
Premium Subscription
Payment Processing
When you purchase the True — Wealth Insight Premium subscription, payment is processed entirely by:
- iOS: Apple's App Store (subject to Apple's Privacy Policy)
- Android: Google Play Store (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
We do not have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). We only receive confirmation that a valid subscription is active.
Subscription Information
We may receive anonymous subscription status information from Apple/Google to verify your Premium entitlement, including:
- Subscription status (active/inactive)
- Subscription duration
- Anonymous transaction identifiers
This information cannot be linked to your personal identity or financial data.
App Permissions
True — Wealth Insight may request the following device permissions:
iOS Permissions
- Local Storage: To save your financial data on your device
Android Permissions
- Local Storage: To save your financial data on your device
All permissions are used solely for app functionality and not for data collection.
Data Security
We take the security of your financial information seriously:
- All data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms
- Optional PIN code authentication for app access
- No transmission of sensitive financial data over the internet
- Regular security updates through app store updates
Your Data Rights (POPIA Compliance)
As True — Wealth Insight is designed for South African users, we comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), No. 4 of 2013. You have the following rights:
Right to Access
You have full access to all your data directly within the app.
Right to Erasure
You can delete all your data at any time by:
- Deleting individual wealth items within the app
- Using the "Clear all data" function in app settings
- Uninstalling the app (which removes all local data)
Right to Data Portability
You can export your data (coming soon) in standard formats for use in other applications.
Right to Rectification
You can edit and correct your data at any time within the app.
Children's Privacy
True — Wealth Insight is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us.
Third-Party Services
True — Wealth Insight uses the following third-party services:
App Store Distribution
- Apple App Store (iOS): Privacy Policy

In-App Purchase Processing
- Apple StoreKit (iOS): For subscription management
- Google Play Billing (Android): For subscription management
These services are used only for app distribution and payment processing. They do not have access to your financial data stored in the app.
Data Retention
- Your data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed
- When you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is deleted (unless backed up via iCloud/Google Drive)
- We do not retain any of your data on our servers because we never collect it
International Data Transfers
Since all data is stored locally on your device, there are no international data transfers of your financial information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
- The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised
- We will notify you of significant changes through the app
- Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy
South African Privacy Rights (POPIA)
For South African residents: True — Wealth Insight is subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), No. 4 of 2013. Because we do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the app's core functionality, our data processing is minimal. Subscription processing through Apple/Google may be subject to POPIA and their own applicable privacy frameworks.
Legal Basis for Processing (POPIA)
The legal bases for processing data in True — Wealth Insight are:
- Consent: You provide explicit consent by entering data into the app
- Contractual Necessity: Processing is necessary to provide the Premium subscription service
- Legitimate Interest: Providing a secure, privacy-focused financial tracking tool
We act as the Responsible Party under POPIA. Given that all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers, we do not act as an Operator over any third-party systems for your financial data.
